This guide explains how to export your user notes from the Local Snap-on Catalog and import them into the Web Catalog through www.snaponepc.com.
You will need to repeat this process on every Standalone PC or on the Catalog Server that contains user notes you want to carry over.
Local Catalog
The Snap-on catalog installed on a server or standalone computer using a USB installer.
Web Catalog
The Snap-on Parts Catalog available through our hosted website www.snaponepc.com.
Catalog Server
The server hosting the Local Catalog installation for your dealership.
Standalone PC
A single computer running the Local Catalog with its own local installation.
Export your notes from the Local Catalog
- Open the Local Catalog and go to the Manage menu in the upper right. Select Data Migration.
- In the Data Migration window, under Export User Data, check All OEMS, then click Export.

A Save As window appears. Pick where you want to save the export ZIP file. You can keep the default file name if you want. Click Save.

When you return to the Data Migration window, click Close.
Import your notes into the Web Catalog

In the Web Catalog (www.snaponepc.com), go to the Manage menu and select Data Migration.
- In the Import section, click Browse.
- Find the ZIP file you exported earlier and click Open.
- Back in the Data Migration window, click Import.

You will see a message that the import process has started. Click Close.
- At the top of the catalog select Manage and then select Notes.
- Check that the number of imported notes matches what you expected, and that there some of your personal notes.
- Lastly, browse through the Web Catalog and make sure your notes appear correctly.
