Issue
When sending parts from the Snap-on EPC catalog to Tekion using SIP (Standard Integration Process), Tekion receives a quantity of 1 instead of the selected quantity.
Cause
Tekion settings required for passing quantity from EPC are not enabled.
Resolution
Configure the following settings in Tekion.
Access Required: Parts Manager or user with permissions to modify Parts Settings
Configuration Steps
- Navigate to Applications & Settings
- Select Settings
- Search for PS or Parts Settings
- Open the General Settings tab
Supersession Replacement Settings
- Ensure all five checkboxes are enabled
Part Sales Comments & Import Parts from EPC
Scroll to Part Sales Comments & Import Parts from EPC Settings check under the General Settings and verify:
- Part Sales Comments
- Both toggles set to ON
- Import Parts from EPC
- Toggle set to ON
These settings allow the selected quantity from EPC to carry over correctly into Tekion.
Apply Changes
- Scroll to the bottom right
- Click Save
- Have all users log out and back into:
- Tekion
- Snap-on EPC
Verification
- Select a part in EPC
- Set quantity greater than 1
- Send to Tekion
- Confirm the quantity matches
